Best of intentions

I had intended on stitching all day today but that wasn't possible. I had too much to do around the house. I vacuumed,mowed,washed clothes and dishes etc. I managed to stitch 60 x's tonight though. Not much to show , so won't bother uploading a picture. Tomorrow is Sunday so after church tomorrow, I will stitch till bedtime  without guilt.GUARANTEED.   I hope everyone has a blessed night and a wonderful Sunday tomorrow. Good night.

I made the mistake of looking for some lost leaflets and I made a huge mess in my hobby room. I straightened it all up and this is what it looks like in my closet now. I am quite pleased. I will be able to find things better now. Thanks for looking,Kimberly

Good Morning

I had such  a relaxing day yesterday. I stitched half the day and then went fishing with my man. I caught 9 small bluegill.  When we got home I watched a horrible movie called Evil Dead.yucky`!!!!
I plan on stitching more today on the Eagles View . I really want to stitch more of the mountain and I want to finish up page 1. There are 6 pages in all.  Seems like a lot, but I am making this for my hubby , so it will be worth it.  I have so many more kits on my wish list to purchase and stitch. I know that when I finish this one for him, I will be free to buy all I want.heheheheh.  I will put up a new wip picture this evening. I hope you have a blessed day. Kimberly

On vacation this week.

I am off work this week. I have been stitching on "Happiness is having friends ".This is a Dimensions kit. This is what I have done so far. I am about to go stitch on something else for a while. Just not sure what yet. I am getting bored of this one for now.

I am looking forward to spending time with my son Matthew before he goes off to college and spending time with my daughter before she starts high school . I started this little angel yesterday

I think I paid $2.00 for this kit last year at Christmas time.  I think i will stitch several in different colors and give them away as ornaments or just little pictures framed to people needing a little pick me up. I went looking for a book of "All of Yesterdays" book.  I am looking for some cute patterns to do for charity quilts. I was searching high and low for that darn book and I never did find it. I did however find some old ufo's in my closet and I pulled them out to work on. Here is one of them. Mad blue bird. I love him and I hope i finish him someday soon. Thanks for looking.

Getting that new start feeling

I am wanting to start something new.lol. I am trying really really hard to finish "be strong" but I want to play in my Little House Needleworks patterns too.lol. I will try try and try some more to behave. I also have a  kit called"Happiness is having friends" and I want to get back  to it also. There are too many options, it is starting to make me misbehave.

Whoa what a crazy and awful weekend I had

On Saturday evening. I was on my way to Walmart with my daughter. I was making a left turn on a green light(arrow for me) and a man ran a red light and plowed in to my vehicle.  I have extensive damage to my car. I am just so thankful my daughter and I are safe. If I had been driving slower, he would have hit my door and possibly killed me.God definitely had his angels surrounding me on Saturday night. I don't yet know if my vehicle can be fixed or if it will be considered a total loss. I will let you know when I know more. Take care and never take a life lightly. We never know when it will happen.

Stitching this morning

So Happy

I am no longer working 2 jobs. I am only working at an assisted living facility for seniors now.  I will have more time for blogging and stitching in the mornings before work.  For the past 7 years I have been working 2 jobs. I had been working Mon-thru Fri as a teacher to toddlers and every other weekend at an assisted living facility. I felt God telling me that it was time to quit the rat race of working 2 jobs and juggling a family, hobbies,church etc.  I was always so worn out that I never had the energy for the things I enjoyed anymore.  I prayed about it and waited to see what happens. I am now working Monday thru Friday at Stones River Manor Assisted living from 2pm till 9 pm and off weekends and no longer working with the children. I feel so much better now. I feel like my brain is less scattered and I can enjoy life again. yay.  So, be on  the look out for more blogging from me in the future. I am off to stitch now and will update soon. I got this pattern from a face book friend and decided to start on it tonight while at my daughter's school waiting on graduation to begin. It will be done in no time. Looking forward

I am looking forward to more stitching time here soon. I will try to post more often too. I have one more Thursday night class and then I will be done with school this semester.  I will be taking the summer off and that will free my time up for stitching a lot. Fun at stitch night at the Stitching Post in Nashville

We made these cute little oragami boxes. I want to make a bunch of them and have them on hand for small gifts.  Stores are always having scrap booking paper on sale and that is what is needed to make these.  I stitched a small amount at stitch night. I worked on a My Big Toe of course. It is the one with the verse "Be strong and courageous"  I got the inner border completed and now I am working on the floral part around the outside of the inner square. I am making this for my son Matthew. He is going to Africa on May 30th and won't be back till July 13th and I thought it would be a good reminder for him.  Thanks for coming by my blog. Cute little rag doll

I went to moonlight stitching last night and purchased this little ragdoll kit. All that I needed to stitch was the wording and star on the apron and then do a running stitch around the edges and attach it to the doll. I got her done in less than 1 hour. Thanks for looking. I hope you like her.She will sit in my cross stitch room on my book shelf.

Well this stinks

I was working on "Great is Thy Faithfulness" yesterday and went to use the color "Grape Arbor" and for some reason, I don't have any left. I either lost it in one of my traveling stitching bags or in my couch,chair,etc.What a bummer this is for me.  I am also getting really low on the color"cucumber".errrrrrrr. I guess I will work on something else until I get a chance to run to my not so local needlework store.  I had plans to be a good girl and this project done so I could start on "How Great Thou Art by My Big Toe Designs.

Sorry I let my followers down

I have been so busy with life that I haven't had any time to stitch or blog. I hope that will change today. I plan on stitching this evening after the hubby and I return from fishing.  Between 2 jobs and school in the evening and being active in my church, there hasn't been much time for smoking needles .lol I hope you all are doing well and getting lots of progress done on your projects. Disappointment

What a disappointment. I went to Michael's Arts and Crafts tonight.  Need I say more?  There was like nothing left but a few kits and some dmc threads left. They no longer carry hoops,patterns,most evenweave material etc. I walked around the store looking for "other stuff" that I could do that isn't cross stitch.All I ended up buying was a skein of sugar and cream yarn and a crochet hook.lol. Isn't that just sad?  I like to crochet,but I Love to stitch,stitch and stitch.  I guess I will be doing most of my purchasing online or through catalog orders.  Oh well, I will get off my soap box now. Back to the regular program. I got a few more stitches in my " Mad Blue Bird" this evening, but not enough to take a picture again.  I will try to show a new update tomorrow or Friday. More stitched on North Wind

Well I didn't stitch  as much as I had planned yesterday. I ended up reading " Coming Home" by Karen Kingsbury and I couldn't put it down.  I stitched some last night while watching a movie called "The Ward". It was a pretty good movie, full of suspense, so I couldn't keep looking at my stitching.  Here is a picture of what I did manage to get done. I will update again later this evening. It is a yucky,rainy day here in TN so I may as well take advantage of it and stitch.  It is also getting cold here .brrr. lol  Something tells me we will have a very cold winter this year. I fell asleep

I have to work today

Hi blogger friends, I probably won't get too much stitching done today or tomorrow, I have to work.If all my residents get to bed at a decent hour and my eyes aren't too sleepy by then, I may get a few stitches in. I am taking my "Great is Thy Faithfulness" piece and my "Sheltering Tree" piece with me just in case. lol. I hope you all have a great weekend and enjoy your blessings. I feel so unloved

I do my best to post on here, to put pictures on here and yet, nobody comments or participates in drawings I have etc. What is the deal?lol.  When I lurk on someone elses blog , I usually post something. If they have it set up where I can't post , well then, I can't . If I am able to, I do.  I love to look at other's cross stitch pieces and appreciate all the work that goes in to blogs. Oh well, rant over. Just had to put it out there.By for now. I am off to stitch if anyone seems to care, which I doubt.
