A little start

I got this pattern from a face book friend and decided to start on it tonight while at my daughter's school waiting on graduation to begin. It will be done in no time. Looking forward

I am looking forward to more stitching time here soon. I will try to post more often too. I have one more Thursday night class and then I will be done with school this semester.  I will be taking the summer off and that will free my time up for stitching a lot. Fun at stitch night at the Stitching Post in Nashville

We made these cute little oragami boxes. I want to make a bunch of them and have them on hand for small gifts.  Stores are always having scrap booking paper on sale and that is what is needed to make these.  I stitched a small amount at stitch night. I worked on a My Big Toe of course. It is the one with the verse "Be strong and courageous"  I got the inner border completed and now I am working on the floral part around the outside of the inner square. I am making this for my son Matthew. He is going to Africa on May 30th and won't be back till July 13th and I thought it would be a good reminder for him.  Thanks for coming by my blog. I want to work on my "Eagles View" tonight. I just wasn't in the mood to stitch last night. I couldn't focus attention on anything.  I hate when that happens. I was looking forward to stitching all day yesterday and then when the time came to stitch, I just didn't want to.Do you have days like that? I hope to get 2 hours worth stitched up tonight. Cute little rag doll

I went to moonlight stitching last night and purchased this little ragdoll kit. All that I needed to stitch was the wording and star on the apron and then do a running stitch around the edges and attach it to the doll. I got her done in less than 1 hour. Thanks for looking. I hope you like her.She will sit in my cross stitch room on my book shelf.

Well this stinks

I was working on "Great is Thy Faithfulness" yesterday and went to use the color "Grape Arbor" and for some reason, I don't have any left. I either lost it in one of my traveling stitching bags or in my couch,chair,etc.What a bummer this is for me.  I am also getting really low on the color"cucumber".errrrrrrr. I guess I will work on something else until I get a chance to run to my not so local needlework store.  I had plans to be a good girl and this project done so I could start on "How Great Thou Art by My Big Toe Designs.

Sorry I let my followers down

I have been so busy with life that I haven't had any time to stitch or blog. I hope that will change today. I plan on stitching this evening after the hubby and I return from fishing.  Between 2 jobs and school in the evening and being active in my church, there hasn't been much time for smoking needles .lol I hope you all are doing well and getting lots of progress done on your projects. Disappointment

What a disappointment. I went to Michael's Arts and Crafts tonight.  Need I say more?  There was like nothing left but a few kits and some dmc threads left. They no longer carry hoops,patterns,most evenweave material etc. I walked around the store looking for "other stuff" that I could do that isn't cross stitch.All I ended up buying was a skein of sugar and cream yarn and a crochet hook.lol. Isn't that just sad?  I like to crochet,but I Love to stitch,stitch and stitch.  I guess I will be doing most of my purchasing online or through catalog orders.  Oh well, I will get off my soap box now. Back to the regular program. I got a few more stitches in my " Mad Blue Bird" this evening, but not enough to take a picture again.  I will try to show a new update tomorrow or Friday. More stitched on North Wind

Well I didn't stitch  as much as I had planned yesterday. I ended up reading " Coming Home" by Karen Kingsbury and I couldn't put it down.  I stitched some last night while watching a movie called "The Ward". It was a pretty good movie, full of suspense, so I couldn't keep looking at my stitching.  Here is a picture of what I did manage to get done. I will update again later this evening. I fell asleep

I have to work today

Hi blogger friends, I probably won't get too much stitching done today or tomorrow, I have to work.If all my residents get to bed at a decent hour and my eyes aren't too sleepy by then, I may get a few stitches in. I am taking my "Great is Thy Faithfulness" piece and my "Sheltering Tree" piece with me just in case. lol. I hope you all have a great weekend and enjoy your blessings. I feel so unloved

I do my best to post on here, to put pictures on here and yet, nobody comments or participates in drawings I have etc. What is the deal?lol.  When I lurk on someone elses blog , I usually post something. If they have it set up where I can't post , well then, I can't . If I am able to, I do.  I love to look at other's cross stitch pieces and appreciate all the work that goes in to blogs. Oh well, rant over. Just had to put it out there.By for now. I am off to stitch if anyone seems to care, which I doubt.

Yay, today is Friday.Woohoo. Love my Fridays. I will get "It's all God" by My Big Toe Designs finished this evening . I can't wait to have this one done and start on my next project. Live Simply

Well, I got the thread"cucumber 123" for my project "Live Simply" by Goode Huswife. I am having problems though. The color sent to me seems to be too light and won't match the thread I had used thus far. I am having to tweed a dark dmc green with a strand of the cucumber to make it "almost" match.bummer. I will have it done by tomorrow evening and will post my results. I'm not too worried about how it comes out as I am hanging it up in my hobby room anyway. I hope you have a blessed day. A kind hearted woman helped me out with needed threads

A really sweet lady on 123 stitch board sent me one and it will be here by Monday. I am soo thankful for this.  I can't wait to finish my project. I think it may be the fastest stitched project for me.Bummer I ran out of thread or it would be done already. Oh well such is life.  I am getting irritated with this new blog set up crap. I am having issues making my blog nice like others. I may end up getting rid of blog spot and starting another one. What a bummer. I started "Live Simply" by Goode Huswife yesterday and I am nearly finished and I ran out of thread. I was using Olde Willow Stitchery color #123 cucumber. If you have this in your stash and are willing to sell it, I would love to hear from you.

   

I got a little more done on my eagles in flight piece. It is a pain in the neck doing so many darn half stitches. Here is what I got done this evening. Pardon the quality, I took it with my phone camera.

Here is my new start. I started from the left hand upper corner for a change. I usually start in the middle somewhere. I think this will make my project go faster.The pattern is in 6 pages too,so it only made sense to do a page at a time, which makes it less overwhelming.Thanks for looking. YaY,it is my weekend off . I am going to stitch,stitch and did I say stitch???????????  It has been a long time coming,believe me. I work my butt off 12 days on and 2 off and it always seems that family has something for me to do on my weekends off.
